Localization
Localization is the process of adapting a product to a target language and its culture. The target is the country or region where the product will be sold or used, including, of course, the local language.

To identify the target and undertake the localization of a product a specific project management and production process is required which varies according to the material in question.

A translation, according to its standard definition, is the process of converting data and/or texts from one language to another.

The localization process can also involve terminology research, editing, revision page layout, multilingual project management to plan each step of the project and timeline, the conversion of the translated text from one format to another, the use of translation memory tools, and the strategic coordination of tasks for a smooth work-flow.
