A good
revision is as important as a good
translation.
When clients ask us to work on
projects that require a quick turn-around or contain a great
number of words to be translated, the translated document is likely to contain some misprints, typos or
punctuation errors.
Precisely because the quality of our work makes us stand out in the translation business, every document we handle ALWAYS undergoes a careful revision by a second professional set of eyes, with no additional cost to the client..
Both
translations and
revisions are carried out by
native-speakers of the target language.
The
revision process entails a document analysis to ensure
- terminological and stylistic consistency throughout the entire document, and that the following criteria are met:
- consistency in the b> wording and style of titles and captions
- correct use of style guides, reference materials and other guidelines provided by the client
- full translation of the source text, without leaving anything out
- grammar, syntax and typo checks
- correct punctuation, including that of currencies and numerical expressions, following target language standards
- correct order and numerical sequence of index and lists
- faithful rendering of original document, following target language standards for spacing, use of upper and lower case, bolding, and other formatting features.
Before a document is delivered to the client, it undergoes a third revision by an
in-house translator or localization specialist.
